Sarnia-area law enforcement officers carry the torch for Special Olympics

Organizers of the Law Enforcement Torch Run for Special Olympics scheduled the Sarnia-area run for Friday on purpose.“We always pick a PD (professional development) day . . . just so the athletes and their families can participate,” said Jocelyne Paquette, with Sarnia police.In total, about 135 people took part in Friday’s run, “which is our biggest one yet,” she said.The run left Waterfront Park in Point Edward at about 10:30 a.m. and headed to the Sarnia courthou
