Sheehan announces funding for Indigenous food security and forest stewardship in Algoma
The federal government is providing $612,000 to fund Indigenous-led projects that will strengthen food security, advance sustainable forest management and support wildfire resilience in Mississauga First Nation and across the North Shore.Sault-Algoma MP Terry Sheehan said the funding is provided through Natural Resources Canada and Agriculture and Agri-Food Canada which will help communities build on Indigenous knowledge while creating lasting environmental, cultural and economic benefits.Missi
