Victim hospitalized after Cathcart Street assault

A person suffered serious injuries when repeatedly punched by someone known to them, police say.The assault happened at a residence in the 300 block of Cathcart Street on June 1. The victim was taken to hospital. A suspect was arrested Aug. 18.Terry Bassett, 29, was charged with assault causing bodily harm. His court date is Nov. 26.
