Victim badly hurt in St. George's Avenue West assault

A victim suffered serious injuries in an assault on St. George’s Avenue West on Thursday evening. Sault Ste. Marie Police Service went to the street’s 0 to 100 block at about 9:30 p.m., said spokesperson Lincoln Louttit in an email to The Sault Star. The assailant fled west St. George’s Avenue West. Several Sault Ste. Marie Police Service units, including emergency services and forensic identification, responded to the call.
