Algoma Steel confirms partnership to explore 400 MW data centre

Algoma Steel has confirmed it is partnering with Red Jar Energy Partners to evaluate the potential of establishing a 400 MW data centre in Sault Ste. Marie.Laura Devoni, Algoma Steel’s vice president of human resources and corporate affairs said “We recognize the community interest in data centre development and the important questions regarding electricity requirements, infrastructure, environmental impacts and the potential benefits to Sault Ste. Marie and the surrounding region.&
