400MW data centre application filed with IESO

The Independent Electricity System Operation (IESO) has received an application that would see a 400 MW data centre established in Algoma.The Red Jar Algoma Data Center application is proposing a 400 MW data centre to be operational on October 1, 2029.To be called the Algoma Data Center, the application is now “active” which means assessment work is in progress but a report has not yet been finalized.
