Sault senior was driving impaired: POLICE

An elderly man is accused of driving impaired. An erratic motorist on Queen Street East was reported late Sunday afternoon, police say.The vehicle was found parked near Drake Street. The driver was sleeping. He allegedly refused to give a breath sample. Austin Duquette, 83, was charged with operation while impaired, alcohol and/or drug, failure or refusal to comply with demand and dangerous operation.His court date is Oct. 5.
