Inmate serving a life sentence dies at Millhaven Institution

A 52–year-old inmate at Millhaven Institution has died while in custody.According to the Correctional Service of Canada, https://www.canada.ca/en/correctional-service.html , Michael Clairoux passed away on on May 29.Clairoux was serving a life sentence since Jan. 9, 2025.As a result, the police and the coroner have been informed and will be reviewing the circumstances.The cause of death has not been released, but the inmates next of kin have been notified.
