Tunnelling work complete on £150m Hinkley fish pipe

Tunnelling work has now been completed on a £150m pipeline forming Hinkley Point C’s fish return system.
Work has created a 1.8m-diameter tube which will send fish accidentally heading to the power station back to the Bristol Channel along a 620 metre route dug into the seabed.Specialist contractor Joseph Gallagher is working with Kier and Bam on the project.The project is spending a total of £700m on fish protection measures including underwater speakers to deter marine life f
