‘We’re backing local leaders’

As franchised services begin in Liverpool City Region, the PM is pledging to help others to follow

Sunday, September 6 saw the roll-out of the first locally-controlled bus services in the Liverpool City Region since the mid-1980s. Following in the footsteps of Greater Manchester, it has become the second area of the country to move to the franchised model for buses.
