Driver dies in crash south of Hornepayne

An elderly Hornepayne resident died in a crash Thursday.A car left Highway 631, about 10 kilometres south of the community, and hit a rock cut, said public information officer adviser Dale Albers of Ontario Provincial Police. The collision was reported shortly before 10 a.m. The 79-year-old driver, the sole occupant of the vehicle, was taken to hospital and pronounced dead. No name was released.
