Council approves housing project on former Studio 10 property

A national charitable housing developer will be building an apartment building on the former Studio 10 strip club. Half of the 80-unit apartments will be classified as ‘affordable’ for 40 years – double the length of time commitment the city requests on new builds.The affordability benchmark is identified as 80 per cent of average market rent, which surpasses the city’s affordability requirement, council was told.
