Watford branch celebrates Royal Canadian Legion centenary

As the Royal Canadian Legion turned 100 Friday, Watford’s Branch 172 was among those celebrating.The 96-year-old branch in the east Lambton community held games, and staged music, dancing and meals Thursday to Sunday to celebrate the milestone, said branch president Rick Bebingh.“It’s all about supporting veterans and raising money to help veterans,” he said, noting the branch has 160 members.A performance from the visiting Sarnia Branch 62 pipe band was part of the fest
