Lake Cowichan Mayor Tim McGonigle wants local politicians near and far to pledge their commitment to a respectful election process.In a July 7 letter, McGonigle wrote to the Association of Vancouver Island Coastal Communities (AVICC) members, the Union of BC Municipalities (UBCM) members, and the Federation of Canadian Municipalities (FCM) members, requesting that they join Lake Cowichan council in supporting the “Elect Respect pledge’.
