UPDATE: Summerland wildfire no longer ‘of note,’ 24-hour operations not required

UPDATE (3 P.M.)
The Bald Range blaze west of Summerland has been downgraded and is no longer a “wildfire of note,” according to BC Wildfire Service (BCWS).
BCWS crews welcomed back 100 Mexican wildland firefighters to the scene on Thursday.
24-hour operations are no longer required with nighttime fire behaviour decreasing and “operations objectives being met,” BCWS said.
