University District Safety Initiative takes effect as students return to Kingston

As students begin to trickle back onto Queen’s campus, the University District Safety Initiative (UDSI) is coming back into effect.The initiative will be in effect from Aug. 28 at 12:01 a.m. until Sept. 13 at 6 a.m., taking place during prominent move-in and orientation activities. Gord Downie Pier will also close nightly from 7 p.m. to 6 a.m. during the same period.Created through a partnership between the City of Kingston, Kingston Police, and Queen’s University, the UDSI allows f
