Defense claims mental distress led to Ewa Beach double slaying

Trial began Monday for a former Army soldier accused of murdering his 23-year-old girlfriend and their 6-month-old son, whose bloodied bodies were found with numerous stab wounds on the kitchen floor of their studio apartment in Ewa Beach in March 2020.
