Sizewell C gets green light for Bristol tunnel segment factory

Sizewell C nuclear power plant has secured planning permission for a tunnel segment factory in Avonmouth, Bristol.The plant will support 400 jobs making the 38,000 pre-cast concrete segments, as well as tunnel heads, for Sizewell C’s three marine tunnels.
Sizewell C is bringing what was previously the former Hinkley Point C tunnel production site back into use, retaining existing infrastructure and drawing on the experience of teams that worked on the Somerset nuclear project.The expansion
