Delay may make registrations of birth, deaths tough

Delayed birth and death registrations may soon require judicial magistrate orders. The government proposes this change to tighten the existing registration process. Reporting births and deaths after two years will need judicial approval. This aims to ensure near real-time recording and prevent misuse. The proposed amendment was placed before the Cabinet for consideration.
