Jury in coroner's inquest hears about opioid withdrawal, aging Thunder Bay Jail

Kevin Mamakwa told his sister Julie Meekis he was going through withdrawal at the Thunder Bay Jail, an inquest jury heard Wednesday. A coroner’s inquest into the death of the 27-year-old member of Kingfisher Lake First Nation, who is the nephew of Kiiwetinoong NDP MPP Sol Mamakwa, began Monday.
