Dry conditions spark forest fires across Northern Ontario

Just two months after the official start of forest fire season, six active wildland are burning in Ontario’s northeast region.Close to home, extremely dry conditions across the Algoma District have already been noted by the Ministry of Natural Resources, prompting some fire departments to issue Extreme Fire Hazard Warnings.The Bruce Mines Fire department reports on social media that based on MNR tracking, an extreme fire warning exists. The lack of rain has pushed the region into critical
