Cement truck gets stuck under bridge in Algoma Mills

A highway in Township of the North Shore was closed for more than 10 hours after a cement truck became stuck beneath a railway bridge on Thursday.The bridge was on Highway 538, near Channelview Road, in Algoma Mills, Ontario Provincial Police say. A train stop went into effect. The roadway was closed for more than 11 hours.The driver, 67, from Elliot Lake, was charged with careless driving.Police do not release names of persons charged under the Highway Traffic Act.
