Saskatoon mayor says replacing river safety buoys will take weeks

A search is still underway for 32-year-old Adan Vargas Salvador, who has been missing since police received reports of a watercraft in distress near the weir in the South Saskatchewan River. A line of warning buoys usually sits upstream of the weir, but a recent increase in water flow damaged the equipment.
