Two-way race emerges for Point Edward mayor

There's now a race for the mayors seat in the Village of Point Edward.Current councillor Paul Burgess filed his nomination papers on Monday, August 17.Burgess was first elected to council in 2014.He's running against Deputy Mayor Greg Grimes who filed his nomination papers back in May.Current mayor Bev Hand has not yet indicated if she is seeking another term in the fall.The deadline to file nomination papers for the October 26 election is 2 p.m. on Friday, August 21.
