Pinery Provincial Park removes campsites for ecological protection

The number of campsites at Pinery Provincial Park has been reduced, as the Grand Bend site is brought up to current Ontario Parks management standards.Previously, there were over 1,000 campsites at the provincial park.In an email to Sarnia News Today, Park Superintendent Mark Custers said a total of 52 campsites in a sensitive ecological area were removed following the 2025 season."No further campsite reductions are planned, and work is underway to relocate a portion of the impacted sites to oth
