Petrolia cenotaph rededicated with new memorial walkway

A rededication ceremony was held at the Petrolia cenotaph Thursday, 104 years after it was first unveiled.The Royal Canadian Legion Branch 216 said the cenotaph at Victoria Park now includes a memorial walkway, providing a lasting tribute to those who have served our country, and made the ultimate sacrifice.According to Veterans Affairs Canada, the Petrolia Cenotaph was unveiled on September 24, 1922.The cenotaph was completely restored in 2012 by Ron Canton Monuments Ltd & Memorial Restorat
