Kettle and Stony Point First Nation to hold candidate nominations this Saturday

Members of the Chippewas of Kettle and Stony Point First Nation will gather this weekend to put forward candidates for the upcoming band council election.A nomination meeting will be held in the gymnasium at Hillside School on Saturday, September 26 from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m.Ten positions need to be filled for the next two year term; one chief and nine councillors.While nominations can be made in person at the gathering, eligible voters may also submit nominations by mail or hand delivery.Written nom
