Seasonal-service changes for B.C. Transit take effect Sunday

B.C. Transit and Regional District of Nanaimo are making a number of seasonal service changes as of Sunday, Sept. 6, 2026.
To coincide with the start of the school year, trips denoted with “S” in the Rider’s Guide will resume for the fall season.
These include Route 5 Fairview, Route 6 Harewood, Route 15 VIU/Woodgrove, Route 20 Hammond Bay, Route 20A Dover, Route 30 NRGH, and Route 40 VIU Express.
Service on Route 92 Hammond Bay will resume as well.
