Nanaimo athlete sinks 8-ball for gold at 2026 55+ B.C. Games

An 8-Ball player was one from a Nanaimo contingent who topped the podium at the recent 55+ B.C. Games.
A year after the Games were held in Nanaimo, the 2026 iteration took place in Kamloops from Sept. 8-12 and Sheila King took 8-Ball gold in the 75-plus women’s division at the Kamloops Billiards Club.
She told the News Bulletin she has worked hard, practised a lot and was “very, very excited” to be at the top of the podium, more so as she also took gold in 2025.
