All burning bans rescinded across coast

The Coastal Fire Centre has announced that all remaining fire prohibitions will be rescinded as of Sept. 30 at noon.The change applies to Category 2 and 3 fires, which were previously banned except for in the Haida Gwaii area. Category 2 fires are open fires — other than campfires — that are larger than two by three metres, two of those burning at the same time, or stubble or grass over an area of 0.2 hectares or less.
