LETTER TO THE EDITOR: Should Area A become a municipality?

Residents of Regional District of Nanaimo Electoral Area A, Cedar, South Wellington, Yellow Point and Cassidy, should be having a serious conversation about municipal incorporation.
With approximately 7,500 residents, Area A is a diverse and growing community with significant residential, agricultural, commercial, transportation and infrastructure interests. Yet local governance remains the responsibility of an unincorporated electoral area represented by a single RDN director.
