Hiker rescued after 15 foot fall at Salt Spring Island park
A hiker was rescued after falling about 15 feet onto the rocky shoreline at Ruckle Provincial Park on Salt Spring Island.
Salt Spring Island Search and Rescue was activated by BC Emergency Health Services around 4 p.m. on Sept. 26 for the injured man, who suffered a lower-limb injury.
Search and rescue volunteers arrived at the scene, where they assessed and treated the man before splinting his injury and preparing him for evacuation.
