Bald Range wildfire sits at 24,622 hectares west of Summerland

The Bald Range wildfire west of Summerland continues to burn out of control more than two weeks after its discovery.
​According to the latest update from the BC Wildfire Service (BCWS), the blaze has grown to 24,622 hectares, with 13 evacuation alerts and eight evacuation orders still in place.
​Despite the large number of evacuation orders, many residents have been able to return home, with just 32 properties still under evacuation.
