TRUE Fest debuts at Open Air Weekends in Amherstburg

TRUE Fest’s move from its winter roots to the summer is likely to be permanent and a fixture at the town’s Open Air Weekends festival. The decision to move the festival — an outdoor inclusive event featuring music, dancing and drag queens — came after last year’s event turned out to be held on the coldest day of the year, said Sarah Van Grinsvan, tourism supervisor at the Town of Amherstburg. “It became too much of a struggle with the weather,” she said
