A century-old Amherstburg school is poised to get a second life as part of a major redevelopment, but not without some of its historic features reimagined.Council voted to designate the former General Amherst High School site a property of “cultural heritage value or interest,” while also entering a heritage easement agreement with Valente Development Corp. to move ahead with proposed plans to transform the lot.“The easement has higher priority over the actual designation of t
