Abbotsford woman found dead after 8-month search

An eight-month search for a missing Abbotsford woman has now been called off after authorities found her deceased body on Wednesday (Aug. 26).
Sonam Ramola, 33, had originally gone missing on Dec. 17, 2025 near the Mission Bridge.
Her vehicle was found that night parked near Tall Road and Riverside Street.
An extensive search of Matsqui Trail Regional Park was immediately conducted, but Ramola was unable to be located.
