Suspicious device evacuates Long Beach homes, shuts down streets

A device found in the bed of a truck caused a scare that prompted an investigation by the bomb squad in Long Beach on Monday night and prompted closing off the street and evacuating homes. At around 9:30 p.m. someone reported to police there was a metal object in the vehicle.
