Mosel Meets Montrachet: Germany’s Ernst Loosen Launches Burgundy Wine Project

It’s a collaboration of Mosel and Montrachet. Acclaimed German vintner Ernst Loosen of Weingut Dr. Loosen in the Mosel Valley has launched a new wine project in Burgundy. Wines from Perron de Mypont, a boutique négociant business, will debut in June in the United States.Why Burgundy and why now? “I always loved Burgundy,” Loosen told Wine Spectator. “I was there [for] the first time in 1985 when I did a stage [or internship] and then slowly this idea grew.
