The two clubs reached an agreement worth €55m for the transfer of the Senegal international winger to Villa Park. Aston Villa fended off competition from RB Leipzig, Borussia Dortmund and Premier League rivals Chelsea and Liverpool to sign Mbaye, who has signed a five-year deal with the Villans.
