Halifax sign ex-Derby defender Bardell

FC Halifax Town have signed defender Max Bardell following his release by Buxton.The 23-year-old spent time in the academies at Huddersfield Town and Manchester City before joining Derby County in 2019.He signed his first professional deal with the Rams in 2021 and an extension in 2023 and had a spell on loan with AFC Fylde in the National League in 2024-25, making 27 appearances.He was released by Derby in the summer of 2025 and joined Buxton, where he made 40 league appearances last term.
