Sakic 'confident' Avs lock up Makar before season

Speaking at an Avalanche alumni game, Colorado general manager Joe Sakic on Sunday reiterated the confidence he has in that a contract extension for star defenseman Cale Makar, a two-time Norris Trophy winner, will "be signed before the season starts."
