Rockets, Fred VanVleet push back team option deadline for 2025-26 season to June 29

Shams Charania: The Houston Rockets and guard Fred VanVleet are pushing back Friday’s deadline date to June 29 on his $44.9 million team option for 2025-26 season, sources tell ESPN. This gives both sides additional time to navigate exercising the option versus completing a longer term deal.
