Thousands gather for #AllOutMay1 protest

Educators and supporters gathered at the South Carolina State House Wednesday, May 1 as part of the #AllOutMay1 protest to bring awareness to public education issues throughout the state. The protest drew an estimated 10,000 teachers and supporters from across the state. Several school districts in the Columbia area closed Wednesday due to the number of teachers participating in the event. read more
