Child killed in accidental shooting near t-ball game, witnesses and Mebane police say

According to the Mebane Police Department, the shooting happened around 7:55 p.m. near the intersection of West Lee Street and South First Street. When they arrived, they said they saw a vehicle and found a child with a "critical injury."
