As autumn begins to take hold in north Mississippi, leaves are falling onto roads still littered with tree limbs and other debris from last winter’s torment, state officials said. Over eight months since Winter Storm Fern, the Mississippi Department of Transportation said its “massive” debris cleanup effort will likely last until Halloween.
