Maryland Senator Visits El Salvador to Check on Deported Man

Senator Chris Van Hollen, Democrat of Maryland, said that the Salvadoran vice president told him the U.S. government is paying his country to keep Kilmar Armando Abrego Garcia, a Salvadoran immigrant and Maryland resident, in the nation’s maximum security prison.
