Ramp Metering Begins on East Side

INDIANAPOLIS — Ramp metering began this week on I-465 on the southeast and east side of Indianapolis. Traffic signals will be in use at several ramps to improve traffic flow and safety along the busy corridor.Ramp metering will be in use on I-465 between I-65 and I-70 during peak travel times. Ramp metering controls the frequency of vehicles entering the roadway to match traffic capacity through traffic signals at on-ramps.When the meter is in use, signals cycle between red and green to in
