Fatal Fremont crash suspect could be released; officials seek more time to file charges

The 21-year-old man accused of killing three people in a deadly Fremont crash earlier this week has not yet been charged until further investigation, the district attorney's office said. San Jose resident Dang Nguyen Hai Tran, the driver of a Toyota Camry involved in the crash, was arrested on suspicion of driving under the influence of marijuana, the CHP said.
