South Whitley house dating back to 1869 faces demolition

SOUTH WHITLEY, Ind. (WANE) -- A historic building in South Whitley is almost gone after crews started tearing down the two-story structure Tuesday.The brick home has stood at 215 N. State St. in South Whitley since 1869.The property sold in an online auction in December 2024. According to the listing, the building featured five bedrooms, three bathrooms and a detached garage.
