NCAA grants non-NCAA seniors one more shot in extra year of eligibility

FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WANE) — As basketball season is coming to a close, non-NCAA seniors have thought their careers were over.
That is, until the NCAA passed a ruling that is allowing players who have exhausted all four years of eligibility by the end of the 2024-2025 season, another year, but it can only be used in NCAA institutions and at the division one level.
For many local NAIA schools around the Summit City, this gives high-level athletes the chance to compete at the highest level.
